FoodCorps Michigan Nominated for Governor's Service Award

FoodCorps Michigan, an AmeriCorps program hosted by the MSU Center for Regional Food Systems, has been selected as a finalist for the 2013 Governor's Service Awards, in the category of Outstanding National Service Program.  FoodCorps Michigan members work to help youth create a lasting, healthy relationship with food, through teaching kids about what healthy food is and where it comes from, building and tending school gardens, and bringing high-quality local food into school cafeterias.
