10 Cents a Meal Application Deadline EXTENDED

Good news! The Michigan Department of Education (MDE) has extended the application deadline for 10 Cents A Meal for Michigan's Kids & Farms, the state-funded grant providing matching incentive funding up to 10 cents per meal to purchase and serve Michigan-grown fruits, vegetables, and legumes. The 10 Cents a Meal grant application has now been EXTENDED until, Monday, August 23, 2021 at 7:00am

Your participation is fundamental to the program's success, and we wouldn't be able to expand the program without your commitment to growing farm-to-institution efforts.

The program is open to school districts (public, public school academies, or private), and non-school sponsors of USDA Child Nutrition Programs such as residential childcare institutions (RCCIs), and child care centers and after school programs participating in the Summer Food Service Program (SFSP), National School Lunch Program (NSLP) and the Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP). Please also spread the word to your colleagues!

For more information about the application process please visit the Tools for Schools and Early Childhood page at
