Hi all,
The Michigan Department of Education has just made available applications for the Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Program (FFVP) grants for the 2009/10 school year. Please click here for more information.
Interested applicants should first review the bulleted documents on this website – FFVP Grant Available Memo, Applying for the 2009/10 FFVP, and Application Scoring Criteria – as they contain new and important information about the grant program for this year. Only elementary schools with 50% or more students eligible for free and reduced-price meals may apply. Applications are due by September 24, 2009.
This grant program is a great way to increase kids’ access to fresh produce, including locally-grown fruits and vegetables!

I think this is a very good move.At least kids should have access to fresh fruits. All the best for the program.
What a wonderful idea to help get children a nutritional diet.
