STARTING AND SUSTAINING A SCHOOL GARDEN
Come understand the steps to plan, maintain and run a school garden while integrating garden activities into your curriculum to meet state standards. From gardening basics to building a garden team as well as curriculum activities, this workshop is designed for hands-on educators interested in gaining the technical knowledge necessary to start a garden. Learn how to engage your students in the outdoor classroom or choose to bring the concepts indoors. School garden hands-on activities are presented as a strategy for meeting curriculum content expectations as outlined in the Common Core State Standards.
