10 Cents a Meal News!

Greetings all,

Happy to share this news about 10 Cens a Meal for School Kids & Farms, the state program that supports schools in purchasing locally fruits, vegetables, and dry beans:

A new info-graphic one-pager: You might find this handy for sharing information about the program within your own community, with colleagues, and with policymakers. It puts in infographic form some of the headings and bullets of the overview of the legislative report, and also incudes a quote from the School Nutrition Association of Michigan and Michigan Farm Bureau. Note: These are always available at tencentsmichigan.org on the Tools for Communities tab.

Blog post on where 10 Cents is at in the legislative process:  The conference committee process has started to iron out differences in the House, Senate, and Governor's budgets, including for 10 Cents. Note: This blog is available at the website of Groundwork Center for Resilient Communities  You can also find it shareable through social media at the Groundwork Facebook and Twitter sites.

Please share widely! And when you do, if you could let me know that would be great. We are trying to keep track!

Best,
Diane
