10 Cents A Meal for Michigan's Kids & Farms

Megan --

Happy Farm to School Month! The 10 Cents a Meal for Michigan's Kids and Farms Application is open now, you can apply until October 30, 2023 on NexSys! Read on for more information on how to apply for the grant program, in-person training opportunities, and other ways to celebrate farm to school and farm to early care and education (ECE) below.

Sneak peek at some new 10 Cents a Meal handouts that outline how the program works, how it has been streamlined, and how 10 Cents a Meal and the Michigan School Meals program work together. Download the full handouts and access all the resources on the application information page of the 10 Cents a Meal website.

As usual, we have multiple resources to help you with the application process including an interactive walkthrough of the application that includes verbal and visual directions to help you apply for 10 Cents a Meal in NexSys. Click the image below to view the application walkthrough.

There is also a written step-by-step application guide to walk you through filling out the application.

Lastly, don't forget that a required component of the application is to complete the annual training, this should only take about 15-20 minutes. There is a quiz at the end of the training, and you must receive a score of 8/10 or better. Complete the form at the end of the page and you will receive an email confirmation of course completion. You will need to upload documentation of training completion in the 10 Cents a Meal application when prompted.
