Notice of Recent Phishing Activity - Cybersecurity Tips

Dear MI Farm to School Listserv - 

There has been recent suspicious activity noted across our e-communications. Specifically, there has been an instance of stolen identity impersonating as an employee of the Michigan State University Center for Regional Food Systems (CRFS). We have reported the message and sender but would like to spread awareness to our email lists.

If you receive an email that doesn't seem quite right: 

1. Check to see if it's an email sender you trust ( See the CRFS people page here: https://www.canr.msu.edu/foodsystems/people/).
2. Don't click on anything! 
3. Do not share any personal, sensitive, or financial information over email!
4. Please feel welcome to contact me at lehmanju@msu.edu or reach out to CRFS@msu.edu to confirm message authenticity.
