Storytelling as Advocacy Workshop

Craft your advocacy story for your issue and learn more about cottage food advocacy.

The Michigan Good Food Charter Council & the Michigan Local Food Council Network is hosting Storytelling & Action workshops to support coalition-building around timely policy actions. We’re kicking things off with a storytelling workshop supporting MIFMA’s efforts to advance updates to Michigan’s 2010 Cottage Food Law this October & November.

Stories are one of the most powerful, accessible tools for advocacy. In this interactive workshop, participants will craft our stories for policy advocacy. This can be useful for organizing meetings, building coalitions, and legislative visits. We will model this process through the timely policy action issue of updating the Cottage Food Law, but this workshop is open to anyone interested in learning how to use storytelling in advocacy.
